Maps of Twitter metadata show where Apple iPhone users hang out
Maps of the metadata from millions of geo-located tweets over the past couple of years give a pretty clear indication of where the wealthiest people in America and elsewhere live, The Atlantic notes.
They also show a strong correlation between Apple iPhones and higher-income areas such as Manhattan (see above), northwest Washington D.C., and western areas of Los Angeles.
By contrast, Android devices are strongly correlated with poorer areas on the maps, such as Trenton, New Jersey, southeast Washington DC, and eastern areas of Los Angeles.
